Progress Update #17 🛠️ – Chaos Card Changes & Battle Map Progress
Fantasy Tabletop Devlog – Chaos Card Updates, Solo Mode Details & Battle Map Progress
This Monday we can finally show you a bit of the Battle Map and the progress happening behind the scenes!
Hopefully, you can already catch the vibe we’re aiming for – and imagine how it will look when finished. (And yes… the skeletons of long-extinct beasts are absolutely coming. 🦴❄️)

☠️ Chaos Card Updates
This week we focused on reworking the wording of Chaos Cards – making them much clearer so there’s no doubt about what to do in the heat of play.
Take a look yourself and let us know if you like the new direction!

🎲 Solo Mode – How Does Chaos Play?
Last week we announced that Solo Mode is coming! But how does it actually work?
Here’s the short version:
- Chaos acts through Campaign Cards and Special Events.
- Thanks to this system, no two playthroughs are the same.
In our playtests, Chaos feels like a growing, corrupting threat that – if left unchecked – will cause major problems and, eventually… your downfall.
And honestly? That’s exactly what we wanted Chaos to be.
We’re very excited to share more – and maybe even drop a live playthrough with prototypes in the coming months. (Yes, it’s happening 👀)
🌌 Lore Drop – Straight from the Wastes
To wrap things up on a (dark) high note, here’s a brand new piece of lore straight from the Chaos Wastes…
Desolate Chaos Wastes hide many… not-so-fun surprises.
One of them? Abandoned cemeteries of once-thriving Human cities — now nothing more than chaos-corrupted lands.
Some of these sites have become the playgrounds of dark necromancers, perfect for practicing their vile arts ![]()
. Villages on the edge of the wastes often call for the Empire’s aid, as more and more monstrosities crawl out from long-forgotten graves.
The expeditions sent to cleanse these cursed places named them “Molten Graves” for a reason… The war is long, and in the grip of Chaos, some prefer not to rest at all.

That’s it for this week’s update!
Hope you had fun reading – and see you next Monday! ⚔️❄️
