Progress Update #18 🛠️ – Full Battle Map Reveal & Structure Cards design changes
Fantasy Tabletop Devlog – Full Battle Map Reveal, Structure Card Updates & New Zarhi Item
Another Monday, another update – and this one’s a big one!
We’re finally ready to showcase the Battle Map in all its glory… and yes, we think it looks epic. The vibe is there, the skeletons of long-extinct beasts are there – everything a first battlefield in the Frozen Realms should be.
Tell us what you think!

🏛️ Structure Cards – Clearer Than Ever
One big focus this week was updating Structure Cards.
Thanks to your feedback, we’ve specified the exact effects of each building – so you don’t have to dig into the rulebook to remember what each one does. Handy, right?
Here’s the revamped Human Structure Card – complete with some fresh lore.
When colonizing new territories, camps are the first line of settlement. They’re cheap, quick to build, and offer enough shelter to keep settlers safe from the elements – while housing a respectable number of people. As the weeks and months pass, these modest beginnings give way to larger, sturdier constructions, slowly shaping the heart of a new city. ![]()
By Imperial law, every expedition must include a planner – a person tasked with overseeing housing and supplies for the entire journey. And unlike in many other human factions, the Empire enforces these regulations with unwavering precision. Frequent inspections ensure every party abides by the rules. ![]()
Harsh worlds demand harsh orders… and in the Empire, order is survival.

Got more ideas? Send them our way – we listen!
🛡️ New Zarhi Item – Thorned Armor
We also added a new item card for the Zarhi: Thorned Armor.
It’s as dangerous to your enemies as it is protective for you. Perfect for anyone who likes their defense with a side of damage.
First crafted and worn by the legendary division of the Temple Fang Legion – known as the Thorny Ones – this armor offered more than just protection. It punished anyone foolish enough to strike them. Infused with ferocity and magic, it’s said the armor is alive… that it thinks.
Perhaps it’s only rumor… but the trail of death and ruin left by the Thorny Ones tells a different story.

⚖️ Balancing – The Ongoing Mission
Right now, our main priority is balancing the game mechanics to ensure each race feels fun, unique, and strategically distinct.
We might share some of that in-progress balancing in upcoming updates – so keep an eye out.
That’s all for this week’s update!
