Progress Update #31 🛠️ – Continuation of Technology Card Balance & First Look at the New Instruction

Fantasy Tabletop Devlog – Zarhi Tech Reworks, Balancing Progress & Instruction Manual Preview

And we’re back with another weekly devblog 🔥
So, let’s get into what we’ve been working on this past week!

First, we wanted to talk about the tech reworks for the Zarhi Race, since the Humans took the spotlight in the last one…

Let’s begin with Totemic Channeling.
Now placed at Tier 1, it fits perfectly with the whole Zarhi playstyle.
Since they’re the most magic-heavy race, it only makes sense for them to have early-game spellcasting abilities.
Not only will they have early mages, but this technology also allows them to conjure powerful magic without even having a spellcaster present in battle 🔥

And for boosting those early-game monsters, Beastmaster’s Bond will do just fine!
Nothing overpowered – but +1 Melee Defense for each Monstrous Unit is nothing to sneeze at!

Moving up a tier – let’s take a look at some Tier 2 techs.
First on the list, Irium Alloy Reinforcement – boosting the Health Points of all your Defensive Fortifications – will definitely come in handy when defending against Chaos Raids.

With Magical Reinforcement (also Tier 2), you’ll notice a bit of a difference in cost.
Since it’s a major economy boost for your stone production, we decided to increase its resource cost, as it’s stronger than Irium Alloy Reinforcement.

Do you agree with the new costs and the balancing direction we’re heading toward?
Let us know down in the comments!

To wrap up this devblog – here’s a first look at the Instruction Manual!
We’ve got an early draft of the Turn Overview and Turn Sequence.
Of course, it’s not final – but it gives you an early idea of how things will play out once the prototype hits the table!

As always, we can’t wait for your feedback 🔥
So fire away if you have any suggestions or critiques – we listen to it all!

And that’s it for today’s devblog!
Get ready for the prototype 🔥
