Fantasy Tabletop Devlog – Human Faction Reveal, Siberian Tuskers & New Stretch Goal Cards

2026 is closing in fast, so we wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year! 🎇

Let’s start off today’s devblog with the Human faction reveal.
We’ve already seen Ariath, but the Siberian Tuskers are the second Human faction that will be available at campaign launch.

With +1 Attack and +1 Melee Defense, their Monster and Monstrous Infantry units receive a small edge over other factions – fitting perfectly with the nomadic, hard-fighting nature of the Tuskers.

As a nomadic horde, building is not their strong suit, which is why each province under their control has a -1 Building Slot penalty. This makes city development slightly more challenging when playing as them.

However, their Campaign Map effect is quite special and allows for much faster logistics across their empire – armies consisting of 5 or fewer units can move up to 2 provinces instead of the usual 1 per movement.

Next, we wanted to share more Stretch Goal cards that are currently in the works!

First up – Verdant Overgrowth.
A card that allows you to block enemy armies from entering your provinces. Extremely useful when you need extra time to reposition your forces or prepare your defenses.

And here’s something you definitely don’t want to see forming nearby…
Apex Claim, as many call it, often spells disaster for the receiver.

Avatars conjured through Zarhi magic – often resembling great snakes or other jungle beasts – are signs of massive concentrations of magic in one place.
In this way, Apex Claim serves not only as intimidation, but also as a way to amplify magical flow, enabling more powerful spellcasting during battle.

Safe to say – when you see it forming, either surrender… or prepare for a very tough fight.

For the Human race, Duck and Cover is the hero of today!
Missing your shots with a bow usually means your skill is mediocre at best…
Successfully dodging those shots? Well – that’s another story…

Sometimes you just need to know when to duck and cover!

And that’s it for today!
Once again, have a great New Year, and we’ll see you all in 2026 🔥
