Fantasy Tabletop Devlog – Siege Points Explained, In-Battle Structures & Human Fortifications

Next week is here, and so is the next devblog!
First things first – a very important reveal from the last update was the Frozen Realms timeline. It’s still subject to change, but it gives you a solid overview of how things are likely to play out.

If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure to check out the previous devblog, where we dive a bit deeper into why things are the way they are. And just in case – here’s the timeline again:

Now let’s introduce a Human structure called Fortifications.
As a quick reminder: structures are buildings you construct in your provinces by paying resources. They serve different purposes – some gather resources, some allow you to recruit units, and some act as defenses.

In this case, defense is exactly what this structure is all about!

As you can see, Fortifications grant you 5 Siege Points during any battle fought in that province.

So… what are Siege Points?

Think of Siege Points as a special in-battle resource, used specifically for placing siege structures during the Deployment Phase of a battle.

As an example, here’s an in-battle structure for the Human race – the Keep Wall.
It has 10 HP and costs 1 Siege Point to place during the Deployment Phase.

The Deployment Phase is when players deploy their units from the Campaign Map onto the Battle Map.
Siege structures can only be placed in specific areas of the Battle Map – we’ve marked these zones in red. This means you have 4 slots in total available for siege structures.

Building siege structures can be a great way to slow down enemy units and gain the upper hand.
So if you have provinces on the outskirts of your empire that are especially vulnerable to attacks, placing Fortifications to generate Siege Points might be exactly what you’re looking for!

Keep Wall is just one of the siege structures – with more reveals coming in the future!

So think ahead, fortify your lands, and never lose a fight! (okay… maybe not never – but at least lower those chances as much as possible, right??)

See you all next time 🔥
