Fantasy Tabletop Devlog – Cinder Rift Battle Map Reveal, New Stretch Goals Cards & 900 Kickstarter Followers Update

New Monday, and a new Battle Map is here! It will of course come in an additional box, which puts the last Kickstarter Tier at a total of 6 boxes! Definitely a sight to behold…

And starting with the new Chaos Battle Map, here it is:

What we were going for here is to make it interesting and dangerous… The main lava river going from one corner to the other, with smaller branches coming out of it, is one of the key elements of this map. But just like in the original Battle Map coming in the core game, here we also have a central point – the hovering Chaos boulders that are brimming with corrupted energy. The map is called Cinder Rift, which is also the name of that floating boulder formation in the middle.

The landscape you see here is what you might encounter when travelling through the Chaos wastes in Frozen Realms, but not all Chaos lands look like this. Some are just dark and corrupted… maybe we will show that on another map in the future…

Quick update on the trailer – great news, the music is done! Now we’re just doing the final polish, making sure everything looks great, and it’s probably going to land on YouTube very soon. So be ready, we will definitely share it here too!

Did anybody order crabs?? No? Well, doesn’t matter, they are here anyway. A new card coming for free to all of you supporters – Revenge of the Jungle Crabs brings some twists to the battlefield. Are you going to move your Unit through the tunnel or attack the enemy? Hard choice… well, not really, they do what they want anyway…

Did anybody ever tell you not to fly too close to the sun? Probably not, but this drake definitely should have listened. Overfilled with flames and burning fury, when slain it will annihilate everything in its vicinity… just leave it alone…

But real talk – the goal with this Unit is to force you to sometimes change your strategy. Will you take it down from range? Sacrifice an already weakened Unit? Or maybe shoot it while it’s still in its starting position? Well… exploding this thing in the middle of a Chaos army sounds kinda fun XD

Hmmm… maybe let’s do one more, this one is heavy on explosions too! Wyvern Burstfruit – a great item to give your Units splash damage. It can turn an average Unit into a heavy hitter, and that’s fire (pun intended) 🔥

So yes, a lot of cool cards are coming! All stretch goals and follower bonus cards will be shown on the launch page.

Ohhh… this one is for all of you!! We just crossed 900 followers on Kick, we cannot thank you enough, and 1000 is getting closer and closer 🔥

There was also a question about player count, more as a suggestion – whether we plan to extend it to 5-6 players. The answer is: the version coming to Kick this year supports 1-4 players. But we are looking into ways to expand that in the future. We already have some ideas, so an expansion in that direction is definitely possible!
